01 The story, in three paragraphs

Why everyone keeps coming back.

Located in the vibrant heart of Surakarta, Omah Londo Angkringan offers a truly enchanting dining experience that beautifully marries traditional Javanese culinary heritage with a nostalgic vintage ambiance. As a unique fusion of Javanese restaurant, café, and traditional teahouse, it presents a refreshing reinterpretation of the beloved angkringan concept—small, humble street stalls known for their variety of “small” dishes. Here, however, the experience is elevated in a cozy, inviting environment that resonates with charm and history.

The moment you step into Omah Londo Angkringan, you are transported back in time by the vintage atmosphere and antique décor thoughtfully curated throughout the space. The building itself, with its classic architectural design and thoughtfully displayed traditional Javanese artifacts, tells a story of a rich cultural past. This setting perfectly complements the menu, where you’ll find an array of traditional Indonesian foods and drinks that engage your senses with their authentic flavors and aromas.

While the menu does not list specific dishes, customer reviews enthusiastically spotlight the wide selection of small plates, a hallmark of angkringan dining—ideal for sharing and sampling a variety of tastes. Whether craving savoury snacks or comforting warm beverages, you’ll find options that invite you to savor each bite and sip in the relaxed, air-conditioned interior or the charming outdoor seating. The high quality of the drinks has been praised alongside the cozy ambience, making it an outstanding choice for both casual meals and leisurely gatherings.

It’s important to note that the pricing here leans toward the higher side compared to traditional angkringans, a point several patrons have observed. However, many feel this slight premium is justified by the quality of the setting, the attentive service, and the expansive menu range, ensuring your experience feels like a special culinary journey rather than a simple roadside stop.

Omah Londo Angkringan is especially appealing to those who appreciate a blend of nostalgic elegance and a modern twist—perfect for a relaxing evening meal or afternoon tea near Purwosari Station. The place offers ample seating, including outdoor options to enjoy Surakarta’s gentle breeze, making it an ideal spot to unwind, socialize, or even capture memorable photos with its striking vintage backdrops.

In essence, visiting Omah Londo Angkringan is more than just dining; it’s stepping into a warm embrace of Javanese culture, history, and culinary tradition—where each detail, from the décor to the flavors on your plate, has been carefully crafted to create a memorable and heartfelt experience. For those seeking a sophisticated yet homely angkringan-style meal, this charming venue in Laweyan district promises a taste of Jogja and Solo’s vibrant food culture, all wrapped in timeless elegance.

...can be "justified" as modern angkringan, a lot of choices of "small" menu (the unique of real angkringan!) and a little bit pricey ; but it is a cozy place to "ngangkring". Limited parking (roadside parking), but it also has nice spots for taking picture...

You'll find vintage atmosphere from the building. Antique goods as the properties inside. This place provides traditional Javanese foods and drinks. - good taste - high price (for the title Angkringan, its prices are not 'nangkring' ) It is located near Purwosari station and opens early.

the place has a very Javanese feel, the drinks are very good, it's just that the food isn't that delicious and the prices for the angkringan class are quite higher compared to other angkringan in Solo

I arrived at night for dinner with my family and the place has a warm cozy feeling and quite spacious at the time of my visit. The food here is very affordable and delicious especially for traditional Indonesian food lovers. It felt like stepping back into history again with many vintage things and architectural design of the building itself. Overall I would love to visit here again.

Never get bored visiting this place! The classic ambiance blended with local flavors always makes me feel at home. It carries the warmth of my grandma’s touch and the pride of hometown glory. And the highlight for me? The Donat Kampung, absolutely my favorite, and a must-try for everyone!
